Help for the Abused

Help for the Abused
When in doubt take action.  It may be very difficult to remove yourself from an abusive relationship because of the very nature of the control and power exercised by the abuser.

The best thing you can do is to consult with experts who can help you.  Here are two primary resources for the US:

1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or 1-800-787-3224 (TDD)
In emergencies dial 911

National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline

You can talk one-on-one with a trained advocate 24/7 who can offer support and connect you to resources. Call toll free 1-866-331-9474 or TTY 1-866-331-8453. One-on-one live chat is also available from 4-midnight Central Standard Time, 7 days a week.

No names. No judging. Only help — anytime you need it for teens age 13-18.
