Sometimes relationships get stale. Particularly if you haven’t been practicing The Art of Loving on a constant basis. People change or don’t change while the world goes on around them. One day you might wake up and find that you’ve grown apart. Or you find that resentment and anger are flavoring everything that you do in your relationship. This doesn’t mean that it’s time to get a divorce. We talk to all too many men and women who have left marriages (some after decades together) because they just didn’t know what to do. They feel like strangers under the same house.
We invite you to create a new beginning. Get to know each other again. You’ve both changed since you first met and now it’s time to become reacquainted. You may need to get out of the rut and cast off some of the old baggage. NOTE: Many times when we have a difficult time in our relationship there is some overlooked forgiveness that needs to take place in order for us to move forward and feel better about ourselves.
Here are some things for you to try.
Get off the merry-go-round if you think you’re stuck in a rut. You can take action to change your life today.
Forgiveness can be the key to open the door to a new future if you are feeling angry or frustrated. Don’t let your marriage be destroyed by the accumulation of resentment. Resentment is a barrier to loving intimacy.
